The artist, activist and award-winning influencer joins How To Academy to help young women determine feminism on their terms.

When artist Florence Given launched a campaign against the fat-shaming series Insatiable, she made global news. Since then she’s become one of the UK’s most influential progressive voices, confronting the oppressive attitudes towards women and their bodies in the patriarchal society we live in.

In a world that tells us we’re not good enough, it’s time we stopped directing our anger and insecurities onto ourselves (and each other), and time to start fighting back by challenging and questioning the toxic structures of the patriarchal society.

In this free, livestreamed conversation with Hannah MacInnes, Florence will offer advice on issues from body image, self-esteem and self-love, to relationships, sexuality and dating. It’s an accessible leap into feminism, for people who are seeking to reshape and transform the way they view themselves. In a world where you’re punished either way, the only option is to do what you want.

This event takes place at 6:30 British Summer Time.
